On November 13, the 21st China International High-tech Achievements Fair (High-Tech Fair) with the theme of "Jointly Building a Vigorous Bay Area and Opening up and Innovating Together" opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Institute of Synthetic Biology of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences officially set up and held the unveiling ceremony at the High-Tech Fair, becoming the seventh institute of the Shenzhen Advanced Institute. The research platform adopts the engineering design concept of synthetic biology and focuses on the research of synthetic biology such as artificial life elements, gene circuits, biological devices, and multi-cell systems. It aims to reveal the essence of life and explore the basic laws of life activities.
At the signing ceremony of the China Hi-Tech Fair, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Quantitative Engineering Biology was officially settled in the SIAT, and the unveiling ceremony was held. Yaping Zhang, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jianping Fan, president of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chenli Liu, director of the Institute of Synthetic Biology of SIAT, unveiled the announcement.
