On November 22, the first academic conference hosted by the Asian Synthetic Biology Alliance, Co-sponsored by Synthetic Biology Specialized Committee Chinese Society of Biotechnology held smoothly in Jeju Island, South Korea. This is the first time since the establishment of the specialized committee that it has co-sponsored and participated in international conferences on synthetic biology with scholars at home and abroad.
The conference will last for 4 days, with more than 130 top experts in the field of synthetic biology from 48 institutions (including 13 in China, 20 in Korea, 11 in Japan, and 4 in Singapore), Scholars, and industry representatives attended the meeting. Scholars from various countries discussed the current state of development and the most cutting-edge academic developments of synthetic biology in China. A total of 24 experts from the Chinese side participated in the conference, of which 11 experts were invited to give keynote speeches.
