In November 2017, the Shenzhen Association for Synthetic Biology was founded by Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital, BGI, South University of Science and Technology of China, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, Shenzhen University, Alpha Feed Co., Ltd., Teng Lang Co., Ltd., and Borui Biological Technology Co., Ltd. It is an advanced technology association covering basic research, science education, and technology commercialization.
