1. Working experience with the latest molecular biology, microbiology, genetic engineering, protein engineering, metabolic engineering, or fermentation techniques.
2. Working experience with the latest bioinformatics, computational biology, or omics (e.g., genomics, proteomics, metabolomics) techniques.
3. Perform laboratory experiments in research areas related to enzyme design, enzyme optimization or metabolic engineering, including but not limited to gene mining, cloning, recombinant gene expression, library construction and screening, gene knockout and manipulation, synthetic operon construction and optimization, protein design and construction, high-throughput enzyme activity assay development, and the development of new host platforms.
4. Carries out independent research, establish work schedules and milestones based on project plans, and ensure timelines meet requirements.
5. Assists with the writing and submission of grant proposals.
1. Ph.D. degree and experience in the biological sciences with practical lab experience.
2. Younger than 35 years of age, time since receiving doctorate degree is no more than 3 years, no previous post-doctoral research work performed in Guangdong Province.
3. Strong background in molecular biology, microbiology, genetic engineering, protein engineering, fermentation engineering, or metabolic engineering.
4. Proficient with bioinformatics, computational biology, or omics tools to guide research direction.
5. Possess solid data analysis and organizational skills.
6. Grant writing experience a plus.
7. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, creative, have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and have the ability to work either independently or as part of a team in a collaborative setting.
